New Series: The Adventures of Jayden Banks and the Jameson Twins

    Greetings!

I am pleased to announce my new middle-grade series entitled, The Adventures of Jayden Banks and the Jameson Twins. Here is the cover reveal for book 1, GAME ON:

The series starts out in the San Francisco Bay Area with the three main characters battling in an online game. The story quickly progresses to a real battle across three galaxies.

I am super excited about including two of Jon Lomberg’s licensed images on my website and used as images inside book 1. (The Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies.) Jon’s work and his projects are super inspiring. Check him out at: http://www.jonlomberg.com

One of my big challenges in defining this series was coming up with a cool way to travel faster than the speed of light. To keep the series interesting and less about space travel, I came up with a super fun solution. My solution?

First, I made the hypothetical multiverse real. I then went on to decide a space traveler would need to punch in and out of the present universe into the multiverse. The best place to do this is in the middle of a star or black hole where the fabric of space (in my fictional universe) is stretched thin.

The spacecraft travels inside the multiverse in what I have named the “space between the space.” The concept is very similar to how worm hole travel might work, except my version allows the travelers to travel anywhere without the confines of a point to point route. The happy travelers simply punch-in to the multiverse, travel in the multiverse, then punch-out of the multiverse back into regular space. Easy peasy with the help of navigation systems provided by the mysterious aliens known as the Ga.

This space adventure series is a bit like a teenage Robin Hood in space meets Hardy Boys meets Nancy Drew.

GAME ON, Book 1, establishes the world framework for the series and takes the characters (Jayden, Parker, and Nora) on a wild three galaxy adventure. Stay tuned for upcoming information on book 2, entitled Black Skulls. It is currently in the editing stage.

    Enjoy!

    Rick
